I'm not going to try it on Nightmare anytime soon. I'm sure it can be done, but it will be no cakewalk. If you can pull this off on Nightmare - you are the man, that's how I figure it. Otherwise, probably as in Normal, the Story Areas and the Bandit Camped DROPs should be mostly free of special Zombies, with the few virals being the main nuisance. So then this impacts somewhat the Story Quests, when you are between story areas or buildings. I also had a few random goons show up on Hard Mode Clean Start at level 4 (might have been my first Virals hit at level 3, but not very often). One of the other issues that make it more difficult is that you combat the difficulty by trying to increase Survivor Level, but when you do that, you also increase the Virals which are coming earlier, it seems, in these modes. Every death will hit you hard unless you time when to use the DROPS, so that you basically go up a level each set you turn in to the Quartermaster.īUT THE BIG DEAL - Is that achieving game completion on NIGHTMARE from a clean start - RESPECT MAN!! Those are so useful on the earlier arrival of Virals (which in Hard Mode started coming regularly for no reason at all at Survivor Level 4, usually in a staggered grouping of 4).Īlso, you aren't going to have Camouflage or Camouflage Attack for quite some time. The main issue is that you really miss Stomp and Tackle/Ram. I'm currently platooning a Hard Mode from the Start and it reminds one of the old tactics, but you also have to use height and disengage more often.
#DYING LIGHT NIGHTMARE MODE PLUS#
You will have to go back to those old beginner's tactics that you may have forgotten to do this PLUS some new ones with Nightmare Mode as a start.

Hey, major props and respect to you if you pull it off on a Nightmare Clean Start.
